State government will come up with an electric vehicles policy shortly to promote environment-friendly transportation and reduce pollution, said Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.
Flagging off 20 electric vehicles to be used by municipal corporation officials on hire basis here on Friday, he said, this fleet would be used by officials in the municipalities and urban local bodies.
