Telangana To Launch Student Breakfast Scheme In Schools From Monday

Hyderabad, June 13: The Telangana government will launch a breakfast scheme for students from Monday as part of efforts to address malnutrition and improve student nutrition in government educational institutions.

Under the first phase, the programme will begin in 1,269 schools and 33 intermediate colleges across the state. Students will receive breakfast along with milk and ragi java as part of the initiative.

The government plans to initially implement the scheme in selected government schools and colleges before expanding it across all eligible institutions in later phases.

Officials aim to improve nutrition levels among students and support their overall health and learning outcomes through regular morning meals.
