Tension at FCI Layout, Gachibowli: Actress brother Attacked
Tension at FCI Layout | Gachibowli, June 18: A month after HYDRAA (Hyderabad Road Development Authority) removed unauthorized structures from the Sandhya Convention area within the Fertilizers Corporation of India Employees Co-operative Housing Society (FCI layout) in Gachibowli, tensions continue to simmer.
Illegal constructions—including a mini hall, multiple rooms, and two sheds—were demolished for lacking proper permits. In response, plot owners have appealed to HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath to restore roads and parks in the layout, claiming that while roads were built, designated park areas were neglected.
On Tuesday, HYDRAA officials, along with the Serilingampally Town Planning team, began marking and identifying roads in the area.

During the operation, actress Ramya Sri, who owns a plot in the layout, visited the site with her brother Prashanth. As they were heading for lunch, a confrontation broke out. They were reportedly stopped by followers of Sridhar Rao, who objected to them taking video footage of the site.
An altercation ensued when one of the followers, identified as Venkatesh, allegedly tried to snatch their phone and attacked them. Prashanth retaliated, leading to a scuffle.
Following the incident, Ramya Sri and Prashanth filed a complaint at the Gachibowli police station, demanding action against Venkatesh.
Despite the disturbance, marking work continued under police protection. HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath clarified that the clash occurred away from the officials and was not witnessed by the authorities.
