Hyderabad, May 14: Telangana State Council of Higher Education on Wednesday released the schedule for the Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (TG CPGET 2026) for admissions into postgraduate courses offered by various universities in the State.
Higher Education Council Chairman V Balakista Reddy, Vice Chairman E Purushotham and Vice Chancellors of different universities formally released the notification.
Officials announced that online registrations for TG CPGET 2026 will begin on May 15.
This year, Kakatiya University will conduct the entrance examination. Last year, Osmania University organised the test.
Speaking at the event, Balakista Reddy said the State will introduce new postgraduate courses this academic year. He added that PG classes are expected to begin in the first week of August.
CPGET Exams Likely In July First Week
CPGET Convener V Rajender Katla said the entrance examinations are likely to take place in the first week of July.
The application fee for OC and BC candidates has been fixed at Rs 800. SC, ST and PH candidates must pay Rs 600.
Candidates appearing for additional subjects must pay Rs 450 for each extra paper.
Officials said the preliminary answer key will be released on July 17. Candidates can raise objections till July 19 by paying Rs 200 for each objection.
The convener stated that the result date will be announced later.
Meanwhile, the OsmaniaUniversity Vice Chancellor said the university has taken up research projects worth Rs 75 crore and admitted 650 PhD scholars.
The Vice Chancellor also stated that research papers from the university are getting published in Q1 and Q2 journals.
The Kakatiya University Vice Chancellor dismissed allegations related to fellowships and termed them baseless.
