TG20 Cricket League | Hyderabad, July 16 (Maxim News): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government has placed sports development among its top priorities and continues to encourage talented athletes through cash rewards, government jobs, and improved sports infrastructure.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while felicitating the Hyderabad E Champions, winners of the recently concluded TG20 Cricket League Season 1, at the MCR HRD Bodhi Pavilion in Hyderabad.
He congratulated the players and presented them with reward cheques in recognition of their achievement.
Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy said the state has introduced a dedicated Telangana Sports Policy to strengthen the sporting ecosystem. He added that the government has also established a Sports University to develop future athletes and sports professionals.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister said the government is upgrading the Gachibowli Stadium to international standards. He noted that Hyderabad has successfully hosted several national sporting events in the past and expressed confidence that the city will continue to emerge as a major sports destination.
Revanth Reddy said the TG20 Cricket League has created an important platform for talented players from rural Telangana. According to him, the tournament offers young cricketers an opportunity to showcase their abilities and compete at a higher level.
He congratulated every member of the Hyderabad E Champions team for winning the inaugural TG20 title. Moreover, he expressed hope that the players would continue to excel and bring laurels to both Telangana and the country in future competitions.
The Chief Minister also advised young athletes to remain focused on their goals. He said success in any field requires discipline, dedication, and genuine passion for one’s chosen profession.
Therefore, he urged aspiring sportspersons to work consistently and pursue excellence with commitment.
The felicitation programme was attended by Eenadu Managing Director C.H. Kiran and renowned badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, along with members of the championship-winning team and other dignitaries.
The Telangana government has recently intensified efforts to promote sports by investing in infrastructure, encouraging grassroots participation, and introducing policies aimed at identifying and nurturing sporting talent across the state.
Officials believe initiatives such as the TG20 Cricket League will strengthen the state’s sporting culture while creating new opportunities for young athletes. (Maxim News)
