Hyderabad, June 25: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced plans to lease 694 vacant commercial spaces across the State to generate additional revenue and improve the use of its idle assets.
Under the initiative, TGSRTC will offer commercial spaces located at bus stations and other corporation-owned properties for business operations. The available spaces include shops, offices and other commercial units that have remained unoccupied.
Officials said the move aims to strengthen the corporation’s financial position while creating a sustainable source of non fare revenue.

The corporation believes the leasing programme will attract businesses and increase commercial activity across Telangana. The available properties are located in both urban and semi urban areas, making them suitable for a wide range of enterprises.
Officials stated that the initiative will also help improve public asset utilisation and support local business growth. Entrepreneurs and business operators looking for commercial premises are expected to benefit from the availability of these spaces.
TGSRTC expects the leasing programme to contribute to long term operational stability while reducing dependence on passenger revenue alone.
