Tight Security of Police for Ganesh Shobhayatra

On the occasion of Ganesh Namazjanapolice have made tight security arrangements in the city. Actions have been taken to prevent any untoward incident. The police imposed traffic restrictions in Hyderabad from Friday morning to 10 am on Saturday.

Traffic Joint CP Ranganath said that Balapur Vinayaka Shobhayatra will start at 10 am.

He said that the yatra will go from Balapur through South Zone to Tank Bund via Charminar, MJ Market, Telugu Thalli Flyover. After that immersion will be done in Hussain Sagar. He said that three thousand traffic policemen will be on duty during Ganesh Shobhayatra.

Normal vehicles are not allowed on the main roads where Ganesh Shobhayatra takes place. CP Ranganath said that special arrangements have been made at Tank Bund, Telugu Matla Flyover and Hussain Sagar for the devotees coming for Vinayaka immersion. It is estimated that around 20 thousand Ganesha idols are likely to be immersed in Hussain Sagar.

In the central zone itself, there will be more traffic problems. He said that the procession of Khairatabad’s martyr will begin after noon. He said that he will leave as a rally till Tank Bund.

Special arrangements have been made on NTR Marg route from KhairatabadMotorists are advised to take alternative routes during ShobhayatraPeople were asked to cooperate with the police to make the immersion peaceful.
