TPCC Launches ‘Janahita Padayatra & Shramadana Campaign’ Across Telangana
Parigi/Hyderabad, August 2, 2025: In a move to strengthen grassroots engagement and promote welfare awareness, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), led by TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, launched the ‘Janahita Padayatra and Shramadana Campaign’ from Rangapuram village in the Parigi constituency. The initiative was officially inaugurated in the presence of AICC Telangana In-Charge Meenakshi Natrajan, who flagged off the march as the Chief Guest.
A People-Centric Political Movement
According to Nawab Mujahid Alam Khan, Vice President of TPCC, the campaign is inspired by the vision of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and is focused on building stronger connections between the people and the government.
“Congress has always stood with the people—whether in power or in opposition. This yatra represents our continued commitment to public service and accountability,” said Mujahid Alam Khan.

Highlighting Key Welfare Schemes
During the padayatra, party leaders and volunteers are visiting households to raise awareness about the Congress-led Telangana government’s key welfare initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The following flagship programs are being highlighted:
- ✅ Free bus travel for women
- ✅ 200 units of free electricity
- ✅ Affordable housing for the poor
- ✅ Fine-quality rice distribution
- ✅ ₹28,000 crore farm loan waiver completed within the first year
- ✅ ₹9,000 crore disbursed under Rythu Bharosa
- ✅ 42% reservations for BCs, a landmark in political and social empowerment
In addition, the Congress reiterated its commitment to revive the Chevella–Pranahita irrigation project, which was allegedly neglected by the previous BRS regime.
Shramadana for Social Impact
As part of the campaign, Shramadana (voluntary service) is being undertaken in various villages, including clean-up drives, community engagement, and awareness programs, reinforcing Congress’s image as a people-first party.
A March Toward Local Body Elections
With the local body elections on the horizon, the TPCC is positioning this campaign as a crucial step in strengthening its organizational presence across Telangana. The Janahita Padayatra is being seen as more than a political move—it’s a public movement rooted in justice, development, and inclusive governance..
