Warangal, Sept.20 (NSS): Minister for Tribal Welfare Satyavathi Rathod faced an embarrassing situation when the ruling TRS party activists obstructed her convoy in Mulugu district on Tuesday.
The TRS party SC Cell members gheraoed Minister Satyavathi at Gattamma temple in Mulugu town, alleging that the beneficiaries under the Dalit Bandu are not being selected in a transparent manner.
They also alleged that the TRS workers were not being selected for Dalit Bandhu scheme and only followers of Congress MLA Danasari Anasuya alias Seethakka were being benefitted under the scheme.
The SC Cell leaders said they had been working relentlessly for the growth of party in Mulugu Assembly segment but the Minister was not taking their requests into consideration while selecting the beneficiaries of Dalit Bandu scheme.
Later, police used the force and dispersed the agitating mob to clear the road for the vehicular movement. On the occasion, Rathod promised that she would look into their problems and would also bring to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. (NSS)
