TS Inter students to have more choices in the board exams for the academic year 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic which reduced the classwork of the students. Every year, the students have no choices in the ‘very short’ answer questions and have the least choices in the short (4 out of 5) and long (5 out of 7) answer questions.
However, this year, the students are provided with more choices in the short and long answer questions which may reduce the exam burden for the students. It is learned that that the students may have choices to answer any five questions out of total 10 long answer questions. “Students from science group will be benefitted more with the exam pattern,” said a senior official.
The exams for the intermediate students are likely to be held in April-end. However, it is yet to be confirmed by the state government. Around 9.50 lakh students will take the exam this year including the first and second year. And the junior colleges will be opened from January 18 and it is yet to be decided if the classes to be held in shifts or in the alternative days. A proposal has been sent to the government by the inter-board officials.
