TSRTC Bus Crash In Jangaon Kills Two People

A tragic road accident in Raghunathpalli mandal of Jangaon district claimed two lives when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Rajdhani bus collided with a lorry early Sunday morning. The incident took place at Nidigonda on the Hyderabad–Warangal National Highway, causing major damage to the front portion of the bus.

According to initial reports, the bus from the Warangal-1 depot was heading toward Hyderabad when it rammed into a lorry moving ahead. The severe impact crushed the front section of the bus. Two passengers died instantly while six others sustained injuries in the crash. The deceased were identified as Navjeet Singh from Balasamudram in Hanamkonda and Om Prakash from Domalguda in Hyderabad.

Soon after the accident, local police rushed to the scene and began rescue operations. Injured passengers were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision. The road remained partially blocked for some time as authorities cleared the damaged vehicles and restored traffic flow.

The tragic incident has once again raised safety concerns on the Hyderabad–Warangal highway, where heavy vehicle movement often leads to accidents. Officials are examining whether overspeeding or poor visibility played a role in the crash. Meanwhile, TSRTC officials are expected to review the mishap and provide assistance to the victims’ families.
