TSRTC To Observe Road Safety Week

Hyderabad, Jan.25 (Maxim News): As directed by the Centre, TSRTC proposes to observe 31st Road Safety Week in the State from January 27 to February 2 throughout the Corporation.

In a statement here today, TSRTC Managing Director Sunil Sarma said during the Road Safety Week, a meeting with all supervisors, conductors, drivers and maintenance staff will be conducted duly inviting passenger association representatives, Transport, Police, Legal and other VIPs to give suggestions regarding Safe Driving. Besides, Posters, Banners and stickers on road safety will be printed and displayed at important traffic points and bus stations to create awareness on Road Safety among passengers and staff.

In view of Road Safety Week, special medical camps to drivers and training classes on safe driving to all the staff will be conducted to each zonal training college. Special care will be taken on war footing basis regarding maintenance of buses. Importantly, to encourage TSRTC drivers on safe driving, first three drivers having longest accident-free record to each Depot, Regional, zonal levels and State level will be selected and felicitated with Cash award and appreciation letters.

Similarly, cash awards, appreciation letters and mementos will be presented to the Depot Managers, supervisors of depots which registered lowest accident rate during the 2018-19 year in various categories. (Maxim News)
