Hyderabad, July 17: Two men were killed after an unidentified vehicle ran over them while they were sleeping beside the road near the Outer Ring Road (ORR) under the Keesara Police Station limits on Friday.
According to police, the victims were identified as Ramulu (60) and Rashid (40), both residents of Medak district. They were transporting sheep when their vehicle reportedly developed a problem and stopped along the roadside.
As night fell, the two men slept near the parked vehicle. During the night, an unidentified vehicle allegedly rammed into their vehicle from behind and ran over the victims, killing them on the spot.
After receiving information about the incident, Keesara police reached the scene, shifted the bodies for postmortem and registered a case.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the vehicle involved and trace the driver responsible for the fatal hit and run.
