Hyderabad, Sept. 23: The Excise State Task Force arrested two students for allegedly peddling drugs in Hyderabad, officials said.
The suspects were identified as Deverakonda Vidyashree from Anantapur and Koduru Vishnuvardhan Reddy from Hyderabad.
Officials said the duo was studying in Punjab and allegedly became addicted to drugs there.
They allegedly brought narcotics to Hyderabad and sold them to fund their drug use.
Students Held With OG Kush and MDMA in Uppal
The Excise team caught the two suspects in Saraswathi Colony, Uppal, officials said.
The team allegedly seized 9.6 grams of OG Kush and 14 grams of MDMA from them.
Officials estimated the seized drugs were worth around Rs 2.40 lakh.
The suspects were arrested and handed over to the Uppal Excise Station for further investigation.
Officials are now investigating the alleged drug supply network and the source of the narcotics.
