Hyderabad, Sept. 10: Two women farmers were injured after lightning struck their cotton field in Mancherial district on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at Ghanpur village in Nennal mandal while the women were removing weeds.
Locals said Kummarikunta Saritha suffered serious injuries in the lightning strike.
Angali Srilatha sustained minor injuries, they said. Both women were shifted to a hospital in Mancherial.

Saritha’s condition was reported to be critical after the incident.
The women were working in one of their farms when lightning struck them.
Locals alerted others and arranged for both injured women to receive medical treatment.
