Kolkata/Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): The crisis in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is deepening. It is learnt that Jadavpur Lok Sabha MP Sayoni Ghosh and Kolkata South MP Mala Roy are likely to join the rebel group of MPs led by Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar. It is learnt that Sayoni Ghosh has already held talks with Kakoli Ghosh and has declared his support for the breakaway faction and has signed documents supporting the faction.
Sayoni Ghosh seems to have been unhappy with the party leadership for some time. She says that when she was attacked during the election campaign, she did not get any support from the party leadership, and even the leaders did not care, which made her feel isolated. The fact that the leadership ordered her to end the campaign midway and return seems to be another reason for her dissatisfaction.
Kolkata South MP Malaria is not only a senior TMC leader but also a key leader in the city. She was recently appointed as the president of the party’s women’s wing. However, she is now preparing to join the rebel group that supports the NDA alliance. Meanwhile, it is said that Malaria and Sayoni Ghosh are currently in Delhi and are likely to join the rebel camp, and with them, the number of Lok Sabha MPs in the TMC rebel group will reach 22.
