US Consul General meets Governor

Vijayawada, Oct.12 (NSS): Consul General of United States of America in Hyderabad Jennifer Larson has called on Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday, on a courtesy visit.

On her arrival at Raj Bhavan, Jennifer Larson was welcomed by R.P. Sisodia, Special Chief Secretary to Governor. The Consul General was accompanied by Political & Economic Chief Mr. Sean Ruthe, Deputy Consul General William Marshall, Public Affairs Officer David Moyer.

Governor Harichandan and Jennifer Larson have discussed on issues of mutual interest in the meeting that lasted for more than 30 minutes. Governor discussed about the potential for investment in trade and commerce in the newly formed State of Andhra Pradesh and the tourism attractions available in the State. The US Consul General discussed about the liberalised process of grant of Visas for students pursuing higher education in the United States and for other categories of Visas. P.S. Suryaprakash, Joint Secretary to Governor, was also present during the meeting. (NSS)
