VH demands BC census in country

Hyderabad, Nov.10 (NSS): Senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP V. Hanumantha Rao today demanded that the Central government conduct BC community census in the country. He said they had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to conduct the census for three times in the past and added that the PM had not fulfilled their plea so far.

He said the BC community people were facing a lot of injustice in the country due to the negligence of the Union government on the issue. He made it clear that the BC census should be held and reservations to the BC community should be increased. He also alleged that the PM was not doing anything for the welfare and the development of the BCs despite hailing from a BC community. He said the induction of a BC community leader as a Union minister would not be called as doing justice to the BC community.

VH said there would be a revolt against Modi if the BC census was not taken up in the country. He said they would prepare an action plan and demand Modi to take up the census. VH said he would undertake a tatewide tour on the issue and create awareness among the people of the State.

On the comments of Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan that her phone was being tapped, VH said it was a serious issue and added that the comments would prove that the common man of the State was not safe in the State. He asked the Governor to lodge a complaint with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the issue and added that there would be no use if the Governor shared her pain with media persons.

He demanded that the Centre respond on the issue of the comments of the Governor. VH declined to make any comments on the recent Munugodu by-election and added that he would respond on the issue after a statement of TPCC president. (NSS)
