Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today condoled the passing away of Constitutional Law expert and senior advocate PP Rao. The 84-year-old constitutional expert had died of cardiac arrest, here yesterday.
In a message here, Mr Naidu said that his personal association with Rao goes back to his early years in public life, as he also hailed from the same district Nellore (United) in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Rao was elected as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association in 1991, and was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2006, he added. ”I am deeply grieved to hear about the demise of a doyen of Constitutional Law, PP Rao.
He was considered as one of the foremost constitutional law experts in the country and had completed 50 years of his legal practice in July, 2017.”I convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved members of the family and join the nation in praying for eternal peace for the departed soul,” he added.
