Hyderabad: The election process of the Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers’ (TNGOs) Central Union reached a key milestone as nominations for major executive posts were completed, with top leadership elected unopposed.
In a show of unity within the employees’ union, only one set of nominations was filed for the top two posts. Maram Jagadeeshwar filed nomination for the President post, while Dr. S.M. Hussaini (Mujeeb) filed nomination for the General Secretary post.
Second consecutive term
With no other candidates filing nominations, both leaders were declared elected unopposed for a second consecutive term, reflecting the confidence reposed in them by union members.
Strong participation from districts
The nomination process witnessed participation from union leaders across the state, including Presidents and General Secretaries representing all 33 districts of Telangana, who attended the programme to extend their support to the leadership.
Remaining elections underway
Officials said that while the top two positions have been finalised, elections for other executive posts are currently in progress.
The Election Officer announced that the formal election proceedings will be issued on March 31, 2026, after completion of the entire process.
Leadership promises employee welfare focus
Speaking on the occasion, the re-elected leaders thanked district representatives for their support and reiterated their commitment to protecting the rights of non-gazetted employees.
They also assured that the union would continue to work with the Telangana government to address pending employee issues and strengthen welfare measures. (Maxim News)
