Vidyasagar Rao Hints At Change Of State BJP President

Hyderabad, Feb.21 (Maxim News): The political corridors of the State BJP are abuzz with the news of the successor to incumbent president K. Laxman.

Senior party leader Ch Vidyasagar Rao has already made it clear that there would be a new president for the two Telugu speaking States. He also made it clear that he was not in the race for the post. Reminding that he had worked under the leadership of his juniors like Bandaru Dattatraya and G. Kishan Reddy earlier, Vidyasagar Rao said he would continue to work in the same manner in the days to come. He said the appointment of the president would be made by the party high command.

Targeting the State government, Rao said the resolution passed by the State cabinet on controversial CAA would not have any impact and advised the State government to change its decision on the issue. Citing that no protest programs were held in the State on the issue of Article 370 and Triple Talaq, he alleged that rival political party leaders were making unnecessary agitations on the issue of the CAA.
