Vijay Diwas Bison Run Conducted by Indian Army

In reflection of the supreme sacrifices made by the Armed Forces in 1971, the Bison Division organized a run at Maitra Stadium, Secunderabad, Cantonment.

The event was organised in three categories 12.5 km, 6 km, and 5 km. This mega event witnessed the active participation of Soldiers, Agniveers, Officers, Sailors, Airmen, NCC Cadets, Veterans, the Hyderabad Runners Group, and the Secunderabad Runners Group. Prizes were awarded to participants across a broad spectrum of categories which included Children, Agniveers, Men, Women, and Veterans.

The prizes for veterans were bagged by Brig Avtar Singh ( Retd ) of the Corps of EME and Col Bhupinder Singh ( Retd ) who defied all odds of age and participated in the event at the ages of 76 and 75 respectively.
