Khammam/Hyderabad, July 23 (Maxim News): Minister for Agricutlure, Marketing and Handloom Textiles, Tummala Nageswara Rao said that vijaya Dairy should explore ways to reduce costs and increase income. The minister inspected the Khammam Vijaya Dairy Unit on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Vijaya Dairy Unit was started 50 years ago in 1975 and the building needs to be renovated immediately. He said that installing solar panels in this unit will save electricity costs.
the Minister ordered that proposals be prepared for the supply of fresh water from the municipality. He said that the drains in the colony around Vijaya Dairy are coming into the institution. For this, the Minister said that proposals should be prepared for the construction of drain diversion and compound wall. He said that steps should be taken for the modernization of Vijaya Dairy chilling units in Khammam district.
He said that due to the decrease in dairy products in our state, there is a need to bring milk from other states. He said that adulterated milk made with urea is increasing. the Minister said that the dairy industry should grow in the district,
District Collector Anudeep Durisetty said that he will review the problems of Vijaya Dairy with the authorities. He said that steps will be taken on water supply and sanitation.
Telangana State Dairy Development Corporation MD Chandrasekhar Reddy said that 5 lakh liters of milk are being collected daily. He said that Rs. 85 is being given for 10 SNF of milk, which is the highest rate in the country. He said that 50 thousand liters of milk are being provided to mothers and 50 thousand liters of milk to children daily through the welfare department. He requested cooperation in setting up a new plant to process 20 thousand liters of milk. He said that if water can be supplied to the old plant, it will work better
The Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of internal CC roads and drains to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 75 lakhs in Kothagudem SC Colony and for the construction of CC drains to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs on Kothagudem Veterinary Hospital Road in Khammam City’s 15th division. New ration cards were distributed to the beneficiaries.
