Warangal Rains | August 16: Continuous heavy rainfall across the combined Warangal district has brought life to a standstill, causing severe flooding and traffic disruptions.
On Friday night, intense downpours in Nallabelli mandal led to ravines overflowing onto roads, blocking vehicular movement in several areas. Similar conditions were reported in Venkatapuram mandal of Mulugu district, where high water levels in ravines have created dangerous travel conditions.

Traffic delays worsened as Mallapuram, Seetharampuram, and Kalipaka ravines also overflowed. The situation is critical on the Peddavagu river between Pegadapalli and Keshapur villages in Mahamuttharam mandal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, where the river is flowing at dangerous levels.
Due to the flooding, the Kataram–Medaram road remains completely blocked, cutting off access to 16 villages, including Medaram.
Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, avoid flood-prone routes, and follow official updates as emergency teams continue to monitor the situation.
