Why IPS Officers Like CV Anand Given IAS Status? High Court Notices To Govt

Hyderabad, Dec 1 (Maxim News): The AP High Court has issued notices to the Telangana government. It expressed its anger over the induction of several IPS officers into the IAS cadre.  It has issued notices asking them to explain why IPS officers like Shikha Goel, CV Anand, and Stephen Ravindra are being continued in the IAS cadre.

Vadla Srikanth has approached the High Court alleging that the Telangana state government has granted IAS status to several IPS officers as per G.O. 1342 issued on September 26. He recently filed a petition seeking action against this G.O. as it is illegal. Today, a bench of Justice Surepalli Nanda took up the matter. While hearing this petition, it asked why IPS officers like Shikha Goel, CV Anand and Stephen Ravindra were granted IAS status. It has issued notices to the Chief Secretary to provide an explanation on this by December 10.(Maxim News)
