During the investigation, police discovered that Kavitha was having an illicit relationship with Dasari Ramakrishna, who also belonged to the same village. Police revealed that the wife kills husband plot involved staging the murder to look like an accident. On the day of the incident, Ratnayya was returning home from the fields in the morning. At that time, Ramakrishna allegedly hit him with a tractor. Ratnayya suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The accused then tried to portray the murder as a road accident to avoid suspicion.

Police probe reveals murder plan

Initially, police treated the case as an accident death. However, after Devayya expressed suspicion, officers examined the evidence again. Later, crucial facts came to light during questioning. Police confirmed the illicit relationship between Kavitha and Ramakrishna. Both accused reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation. They admitted that they murdered Ratnayya because he was interfering with their relationship.
