Woman, Bike Taxi Rider Killed As Lorry Rams Motorcycle In Suraram

Hyderabad, Dec 8 (Maxim News):   A tragic road crash claimed the lives of two persons near Jyothi Milk Industry in Suraram on Monday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred when a speeding lorry lost control and rammed into a motorcycle traveling on the same stretch.

The victims were identified as Jyothi (32), a resident of Venkat Ram Nagar in Suraram, and Surender Reddy (45), a bike taxi rider from Pandu Basti.

Police said Jyothi had hired the bike for local travel when the accident took place. Due to the force of the impact, both the rider and pillion were thrown off the motorcycle and died on the spot with grievous injuries.

Traffic at the location came to a halt for some time as locals gathered and alerted authorities.

The Suraram police reached the spot, shifted the bodies for autopsy and seized the truck.

Preliminary investigation suggested a rash and negligent driving by the truck driver, who reportedly fled the spot. (Maxim News)
