Hyderabad: A 30 year old woman was electrocuted while using an electric water heater at Dodardna 1 Thanda village of Kubheer mandal in Nirmal district. The incident occurred on Friday and resulted in her death, police said.
According to police, the woman has been identified as Rathod Vanitha Bai. She was heating water using an electric water heater when she accidentally touched a live wire. As soon as she came into contact with the wire, she suffered a severe electric shock. She immediately fell unconscious at the spot, leaving family members in shock.
Meanwhile, her family rushed her to a hospital without delay. Doctors examined her condition on arrival. However, they declared that she was brought dead. Police said the electric shock proved fatal and she could not be revived. The incident occurred during routine household work, which made the tragedy more distressing for the family.
Police further stated that Rathod Vanitha Bai is survived by her husband, two sons, and a daughter. The sudden loss has deeply affected the family. Relatives and villagers gathered at the house after learning about the incident. The police visited the location soon after receiving information and collected preliminary details.
Later, based on a complaint received from Vanitha’s husband, police registered a case. Officials said they have taken up an investigation into the incident. They are examining how the live wire came into contact with the woman while she was using the electric water heater. Police are also checking the circumstances under which the electrocution occurred.
Therefore, investigators are focusing on understanding the sequence of events that led to the fatal shock. They are recording statements from family members and others present at the time. However, police have not disclosed further details as the investigation is still in progress. Officials said they will proceed based on the findings of the probe.
