According to police, the victim, an LL.B graduate, saw an advertisement on Facebook about stock investment in February this year. When she clicked on it, she was redirected to a WhatsApp group called ‘Ideal Investment Guide6’. The group was run by an admin named Neha Garwal. The website is ‘stocks bxtrade-pro.top’. The fraudsters convinced the victim to invest in initial public offerings (IPSs), over-the-counter (OTC) stocks and institutional stocks through a trading app called BX-Trade. She did as they told her.

However, when she later tried to withdraw her money, the fraudsters demanded additional payments in the name of service charges and security deposits.
