The victims, N. Kanakadurga (27) and her sister Endapalli Nukaratnam (24), were enjoying a day at the beach with friends and family. While posing for a photo on the rocks near the water’s edge, a large wave struck, pulling them into the sea.
Seeing their loved ones in trouble, family members desperately called for help. Local fishermen bravely attempted a rescue, but they were only able to save Dwarampudi Sirisha (23), Kanakadurga’s friend.
