Hyderabad, june 19 (Maxim News): In a tragic incident, atleast ten cows died under suspicious circumstances at Kummariguda village in Kothur mandal of Ranga Reddy district on Thursday night.
According to information available, the cattle are suspected to have consumed water allegedly contaminated with urea, leading to their sudden deaths. The owner of the animals alleged that the cows’ caretaker may have mixed urea into the drinking water provided to the cattle.
The villagers gathered at the cattle shed as news of the deaths spread, suspecting a possible foul play.
Adding to the suspicion, the caretaker reportedly went missing from the cattle shed soon after the incident and is currently untraceable.
On receiving information, the Kothur Police reached the spot on Friday and took up investigation.
Officials are collecting evidence and examining the circumstances that led to the deaths. The exact cause will be confirmed after veterinary and forensic examinations.
A case is expected to be registered based on the findings of the investigation, while efforts are on to trace the missing caretaker and determine whether the contamination was accidental or deliberate. (Maxim News)
