14 Special Trains | Hyderabad, Oct. 3: South Central Railway will operate 14 special train services between Charlapalli and Tiruvannamalai to meet the increased passenger rush during the festive season.
The special trains will run from October 6 to November 18, 2026, according to SCR Chief Public Relations Officer Sridhar. The services will operate in both directions every week.
Train No. 07003 Charlapalli–Tiruvannamalai Special will depart from Charlapalli at 2:20 pm every Tuesday on October 6, 13, 20 and 27, and November 3, 10 and 17.
The train will reach Tiruvannamalai at 8 am the following day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07004 Tiruvannamalai–Charlapalli Special will depart from Tiruvannamalai at 8 pm every Wednesday on October 7, 14, 21 and 28, and November 4, 11 and 18. It will reach Charlapalli at 2:30 pm the next day.
Special Trains to Halt at 16 Stations
The special trains will halt in both directions at Kacheguda, Shadnagar, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy Road, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone, Gooty, Tadipatri, Erraguntla, Kadapa, Rajampet, Renigunta, Tirupati, Chittoor and Katpadi.
The additional services will provide a direct rail option for passengers travelling from Hyderabad and neighbouring areas to Tiruvannamalai during the festive period.
SCR has also announced an additional halt at Nandalur for the Venkatadri Express (12797/12798), which operates between Kacheguda and Chittoor.
The Nandalur halt will be available in both directions from Saturday until further orders, SCR CPRO Sridhar said.
The special trains are being introduced to accommodate additional passenger demand during the festival season, including travel to Tiruvannamalai.
