‘Birth Anniversary of Prof. K Jayashankar Celebrated At OU”

Hyderabad, Aug 6 (Maxim News): Prof. K. Jayashankar was a prominent academic and politician from the Indian state of Telangana. Prof. Jayashankar played a crucial role in advocating for the formation of the separate state of Telangana in India. 

His efforts and contributions were instrumental in realizing the long-standing demand for a separate statehood for Telangana, which eventually led to the formation of Telangana as the 29th state of India on June 2, 2014.

At the administration building at Osmania University, Sr. Prof. D. Ravinder, Hon’ble, Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University, Prof. P. Laxminarayana, Registrar, OU, Prof. G. Mallesham, Dean Development, OU, Prof. Mangu, Director, SC & ST Cell, Dr. Ch. Venkateshwarlu, Director, BC Cell, Dr. Srinivas, Prof. M. Ramulu, Controller of Exams, from the Non-teaching representatives of NGO, Technical staff and various Employee Unions were part of the event. 

Prof. D. Ravinder garlanded the portrait of Prof. K. Jayashankar on this occasion and all others present paid their homage and rich tributes to the life and sacrifice of Prof. K. Jayashankar.  (Maxim News)
