EC Extends Voter Registration Window

Hyderabad: The Election Commission has once again opened the door for voter registration, extending the opportunity to individuals who have reached the age of 18 by October 1 this year, even if their names are not currently on the list.

Moreover, voters in different regions are allowed to update their addresses.

In view of these provisions, the Election Commission has outlined the timetable for revising the voter list and will unveil the preliminary version on Monday.

Applicants have until September 19 to submit their requests for name registrations, alterations, and additions to the list.

To facilitate voter registration and address objections, the Election Commission will organize local events on the 26th, 27th of this month, and September 3 and 4 in villages and wards.

The assessment of applications will conclude by September 28, followed by the official announcement of the final list on October 4.
