Hyderabad, Sept. 6: Telangana Minister D. Sridhar Babu urged BRS leaders to attend Assembly sessions and answer questions instead of holding protests on the streets.

Sridhar Babu alleged that the previous BRS government failed to issue ration cards to eligible people for nearly ten years. He said the Congress government is now providing ration to all eligible beneficiaries.

He also highlighted free bus travel for women and questioned whether BJP and BRS leaders use the facility. He accused both parties of spreading misinformation against the Congress.

The minister asked BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao and other leaders to attend Assembly sessions and question the government directly.

Sridhar Babu Questions BRS Leaders Over Assembly Absence

Sridhar Babu questioned why K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao did not raise similar issues with KCR when the BRS was in power.

He said BRS leaders would remain on the streets if they continued to avoid Assembly debates. He also urged people to reject what he called opposition propaganda.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also criticised KCR for not attending Assembly sessions. He said people were questioning KCR’s absence from the House.

Ponnam compared Assembly attendance to an employee’s duty and said voters were demanding action against elected representatives who remain absent.

He also alleged that poor people were denied justice in the distribution of double bedroom houses under the previous government.

Ponnam said the Congress government is fulfilling the housing aspirations of poor families through Indiramma houses. He added that the government has provided 70,000 jobs so far.

He urged Congress workers and leaders to confidently respond to the opposition on public issues. He also criticised BJP leaders over their earlier positions on Telangana statehood.

Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh mocked KCR over his absence from the Assembly. He alleged that KCR was not performing his duties as a BRS MLA despite receiving the associated benefits.

Sri Ganesh claimed that BRS leaders were frustrated by the progress made by the Congress government.

Telangana Mahila Congress president Errabelli Swarna also criticised KCR over his absence. She alleged that the government was spending large sums on security and other arrangements for him while he stayed at his farmhouse.

Swarna further alleged that KCR had sent KTR and Harish Rao to raise issues while remaining away from public scrutiny. The leaders’ remarks were political allegations and were not independently verified.
