Hyderabad, Sept 28 (Maxim News): Balapur Laddu has once again fetched a record price. In this year’s auction, the price of Balapur Laddu was Rs. 27 lakhs.
Dasari Dayananda Reddy of turkayanjal won the Ganesh Laddu. Earlier Balapur Ganesh Shobhayatra was held with grandeur. The Shobhayatra went splendidly with cultural programs and bhajans as a procession through the streets of Balapur. After the procession of Balapur Ganesha throughout the village, members of the Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samiti Committee held a Laddu auction.
Meanwhile, the Balapur Laddu auction has completed 30 years today. Last year, Balapur Ganesh Laddu, which fetched 24.60 lakh increased by another 2.40 lakh rupees to Rs. 27 lakh.
Last year, a person named Vangeti Lakshmareddy got Balapur Laddu for Rs. 24.60 lakh. This time, 9 members participated in the Laddu auction, including six locals and three non-locals. Vangeti Lakshmareddy, who won the Laddu last year, also participated in the auction this time. First, members of the Utsava Samiti Committee started the auction from Rs. 5 lakh.
