Demolition Of Poor Families Houses In Musheerabad: Tense Atmosphere

Hyderabad, Jan 29 (Maxim News): A tense atmosphere prevailed in Musheerabad locality after the GHMC officials demolished the houses of the poor Dalit families  who were residing in small houses built in small areas for the last 70 years, in Swami Vivekananda Nagar, Gandhinagar Division

On Monday morning, the MRO and officials came with their staff to demolish the houses and they raised strong objections. Although the case is pending in the court, the revenue officials are accused of forcibly demolishing the houses amid police presence.

Dharani Inquiry Committee Chairman, Kodanda Reddy supported the victims. Police stopped local MLA Mutha Gopal who came to the scene. BJP corporator Supriya’s husband Naveen was arrested as he was demanding justice.

some victims tried to commit suicide by pouring petrol on them, they were detained. As the house demolitions continued amid a heavy police presence, there was a tense atmosphere in the locality.  (Maxim News)
