Recently, the BRS has given the ticket to Kavya to contest from Warangal Lok Sabha Constituency, she refused to contest from that party. On the other hand, GHMC mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi joined the Congress on Saturday. Her father, Rajya Sabha member K. Keshav Rao also said that she will join the party soon.

Kadiyam Srihari and his daughter Kavya joining the Congress before the Lok Sabha elections is a big shock for the BRS party. Kadiyam is a key leader in the joint Warangal district, and worked as a minister during the TDP regime. Later, he joined and served as Deputy Chief Minister in that government. Leaving BRS despite giving the Lok Sabha ticket to the daughter has become a topic of discussion in the party. Kavya withdrew from the Lok Sabha candidate stating that the allegations of corruption,  land grabbing, phone tapping, liquor scam and other things that have been coming for a few days have tarnished the image of India.

In her letter to KCR she stated that the lack of coordination and cooperation between the leaders of the district and the fact that they are against BRS which has caused more damage to the party. Later, Kadiyam Srihari and kavya were invited by Congress leaders to join the party. It is being spread that either kavya or kadiyam Srihari is likely to stand as the Warangal Lok Sabha congress candidate. If that does not happen, there are speculations that Kadiyam Srihari will be given a place in the state cabinet.  (Maxim  News)
