52 Candidates Are In The Fray For Graduate MLC By-Election

Hyderabad, May 14 (Maxim News):  A total of 52 candidates are in the fray in the MLC by-election of the Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal Graduate Constituency.  A total of 63 nominations have been filed and 11 have withdrawn, polling will be held in 12 districts on May 27.  Counting of votes will be held on June 5, there are a total of 4,61,806 voters in the three combined erstwhile districts.

While congress is supporting Teenmaar Mallanna, BJP is supporting Premender Reddy and BRS is supporting Rakesh Reddy. With the MP elections over, the major parties have focused on the MLC by-election, BRS Chief KCR will meet the leaders of three erstwhile districts tomorrow.  BRS will formulate strategies to protect the sitting seat.

Palla Rajeshwar Reddy was elected MLC for this position in March 2021.  Tenure till March 2027.  However, he resigned from the post of MLC on December 9 after he won as Jangaon MLa from BRS in last year’s Assembly elections.  In this order, the Election Commission has released the schedule for the by-election.  (Maxim News)
