Hostel Warden In Hyderabad Thwarts Phone-Snatching Attempt, Nabbed

Hyderabad: June 3 (Maxim News): A hostel owner in Hyderabad’s Vengalrao Colony, Joshua Kumar, foiled an attempt by two phone snatchers and got them arrested with the help of residents.

The incident took place near Joshua’s hostel. According to Madhuranagar Inspector of Police D. Madhusudhan Reddy, two men, Balbir Singh and Ram Singh, approached Joshua and asked him to use his phone. After handing it over, they tried to flee with it.

Joshua, realizing their motive, swiftly grabbed their bike keys to stop them from escaping. In retaliation, Balbir Singh and Ram Singh attacked him, resorting to blows and threatening him with a knife.

Undeterred by the threats, Joshua bravely held on to the keys, refusing to back down. The commotion drew the attention of students residing nearby, who filmed the entire incident on their phones. They rushed to help Joshua and alerted the police.

The police arrived at the scene and apprehended the two accused, later revealing that Balbir Singh and Ram Singh, residents of Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Kukatpally, had no prior criminal record.

Joshua’s courageous act, combined with the timely intervention of the local students, ensured that the culprits were apprehended and brought to justice. (Maxim News)
