“Temple, Dargah On Road Must Go”: Supreme Court On Bulldozer Action
Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 2 (Maxim News): The Supreme Court has decided that any religious structures built on roads, reservoirs, and railway tracks should be removed. Public interest and their safety is paramount.

The Supreme Court said that the Gurdwara or Dargah or temple, whatever is built in the middle of the road, should not be neglected. They should not become a hindrance to the people. The Supreme Court has held that measures to remove aggression should apply to all people regardless of religion.
The Supreme Court has said that it will issue guidelines to be applicable across the country regarding the demolition of illegal structures. It is known that the bench of Justice BR Gavai also Justice KV Viswanathan took up the hearing on the petitions challenging the bulldozer action on the houses of criminals.

The bench said that India is a secular country and removal of encroachments and action with bulldozers are the same for all irrespective of religion. (Maxim News)
