It will be led by an officer of assistant commissioner of police (ACP) rank and cases may be registered based on directives of Hydraa commissioner, AV Ranganath, and police personnel will be adjusted through deputation, as mentioned in the GO.

HYDRAA Nature of cases that would be attended

HYDRAA, a unified agency for disaster management in the Telangana Core Urban Region, oversees the protection of urban assets, including lakes, parks, government lands, and open spaces. Its operational jurisdiction spans the Outer Ring Road and covers the tri-police Commissionerates, making the establishment of a dedicated police station essential for effective management. The new facility will address cases such as land grabbing, public property damage, and defacement among others.

This move will enhance the agency’s ability to register and investigate cases independently, reducing reliance the police stations, which are already burdened with cases.

The government has clarified that police personnel for the new station would be deputed from existing resources, as sanctioned in a prior government order.
