Hyderabad Police Arrested 23 Cyber Criminals For Looting Rs. 5.29 Crore

Hyderabad, Jan 10 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police has launched a massive operation. As part of this operation, the police have arrested 23 cyber criminals who committed fraud worth Rs. 5.29 crore.

The police have identified these cyber cheaters as being based in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh and are committing cyber frauds. Police said that 30 cyber crime cases have been registered against them in Telangana.

The police said that the accused arrested by the police are accused in 328 cases across the country. They have committed fraud in investment, digital arrest, trading, and Job fraud cases.

The police said that this operation was carried out after the 70-year-old victim complained that his mobile was hacked and he was cheated of Rs. 1.9 crore.

The police have advised people to be vigilant about cybercrime, not to click on links in mobile messages that claim to offer high returns for less investment, and not to answer phone calls from unknown individuals and provide key information such as OTPs. (Maxim News)
