Anurag Basu Denies Rumors: “Not true. Tripti knows it too”

In a surprising turn of events, director Anurag Basu has confirmed that Tripti Dimri will no longer be part of the highly anticipated Aashiqui 3, despite her earlier involvement in the project, without disclosing any reasons. However, he denied the rumors that she was being removed because of her being “too exposed” which required a “purity in demeanor” due to her role in Animal as stated by a few netizens. Anurag Basu dismissed all these rumors and said in an official statement, “It’s not true. After the departure of Tripti Dimri, the production team is looking for a new female lead as the production of the film is set to start in late January or February.
