Shamshabad SUV Accident Injures Four Near Airport Road
Hyderabad: A two-year-old toddler was run over by a rashly driven goods carrier while she was playing at Rallaguda in Shamshabad in the city suburbs on Friday.
The girl identified as K Keerthi, whose family hails from Markal in Nagarkurnool district, was playing near her grandparents’ house in Shamshabad when the mishap occurred.
According to the police, Keerthi’s father Shiva Shankar worked as a construction worker and the family had recently come to the city and was staying with her grandparents.
The goods carrier loaded with cement bags mowed her down while she was playing on the street near the house.
“She came under the front tyre on the right side of the vehicle. She suffered grievous bleeding injuries and was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared her dead,” police said.
