50 People Rescued In Fire Accident At Mailardevpally

Hyderabad, May 18 (Maxim News): Fifty people who were trapped in a building that caught fire at Mailardevpally were rescued by the fire personnel on Sunday morning. Among those rescued are 16 children aged below 15 years.

According to the officials, the fire broke out at a ground plus three floor building at Uddamgadda around 7 am.

On information, fire tenders from Chandrayangutta rushed to the spot and rescued 50 people who were trapped in the building. The firemen brought the occupants safely out of the building using ladders and making a safe way through staircases. The building occupants had rushed to the terrace of the building on noticing the fire on the lower floors.

The fire was doused within 90 minutes by the fire fighters. The officials suspect the fire started due to a short circuit. (Maxim News)
