Saudi Arabia Announces Hajj Pilgrimage From June 4

Riyadh/Internet/Hyderabad, May 29 (Maxim News) Saudi Arabia has announced that the annual Hajj pilgrimage to the Muslim holy site of Mecca will begin on June 4.

The Saudi Supreme Court announces the dates for the hajj pilgrimage based on the sighting of the crescent moon in the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar. These dates change every year.

This year, the Hajj pilgrimage will continue for four days from June 4, The second day, June 5, is the peak day for hajj pilgrims to participate in the collective prayers at the Arafat plain.

This is considered the day when the Prophet Muhammad delivered his last sermon. Eid-al- Adha will be celebrated on June 6. This year, it is estimated that about one million Muslims will participate in the Hajj pilgrimage. (Maxim News)
