Hyderabad, June 21 (Maxim News): International Yoga Day celebrations were held in Bhagyanagaram. Thousands of people enthusiastically participated in the Yoga Day programme organized by the Telangana government at the Gachibowli Stadium and performed yoga asanas.

Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, Ministers Damodara Raja narasimha, CS Ramakrishna Rao and others were present as chief guests for this program.

On this occasion, Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha explained the importance of yoga to the people. He said Yoga is a great gift that India has given to the world. We should all remember the guru who gave us this gift, Maharishi Patanjali. The Ashtanga yoga teachings he provided are the lifeblood of today’s yoga. But, with the current hectic lifestyle, BP, Sugar, cancers and kidney problems are increasing day by day. Even those who earn crores do not have peace of mind. Yoga is the best solution to all these problems. Yoga is not just about exercise. It is a wonderful tool that unites the body, mind and soul. Doing Yoga daily increases mental peace, physical strength and concentration. However, all that is needed to do yoga is determination and a good teacher. Therefore, Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha called on everyone to make yoga a part of their lives and make the saying that health is a great blessing come true.

He said that steps are being taken under the leadership of our Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to make yoga part of everyone’s life. He said that yoga classes are being conducted every morning in health sub-centers. He said that 5 lakh new people have been taught yoga in the last year. He said that the government is encouraging yoga to be taught in all educational institutions. He revealed that PG courses in naturopathy and Yogic Sciences are being made available. He said that in the future, yoga will be brought closer to the people through more programs.

GHMC Mayor Vijayalakshmi, local public representatives, film celebrities like Sai Dharam Tej, Teja Sajja, Meenakshi Chowdhury, and Khushboo attended the event and performed yoga asanas. (Maxim News)
