Hyderabad Police Crack Rowdy Sheeter Murder Case; Three Arrested for Brutal Killing

Hyderabad, July 2 (Maxim News): In a swift breakthrough, the Kukatpally police have solved the gruesome murder of Syed Shahed (26) — a known rowdy sheeter and textile trader from Borabanda — by arresting three accused involved in the crime. The murder, reported earlier this week, was driven by personal enmity and a bid for local dominance, police said.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  • Y. Hanak, a private employee from Borabanda
  • Mohd Sajid, an AC technician from Moula Ali
  • Mohd Sameer Khan, an interior worker also from Borabanda

Murder Driven by Rivalry and Ambition

According to DCP Balanagar K. Suresh Kumar, the murder was premeditated. The accused, who were once close associates of the victim, had a long-standing rivalry with Syed Shahed. In a shocking twist, they plotted his murder to elevate their own status as local rowdies in the area.

The crime was executed on June 29, when the group lured Shahed to an open plot near Dev Istana Homes in Prakash Nagar, under the pretense of celebrating their mutual friend Pavan’s birthday.

“The group consumed alcohol together. During the party, Sajid suddenly attacked Shahed by slitting his throat with a broken liquor bottle. The other two, Hanak and Sameer, bludgeoned him with rocks, killing him instantly,” said DCP Suresh Kumar.

Case Solved, Accused Remanded

Following an intensive investigation and the use of technical and on-ground intelligence, the trio was apprehended and produced before the court, which remanded them to judicial custody.

The case has raised fresh concerns over growing rivalries and violent turf wars among local criminals in the Borabanda area. Police assured residents that they are closely monitoring rowdy sheeters and strengthening surveillance in sensitive zones.
