The cabinet is also likely to review reports from the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) and Vigilance regarding repair works at the Medigadda Barrage.

The meeting comes amid a looming deadline set by the Telangana High Court, which has given the government until July 25 to finalise and announce the quantum of BC reservations. The court’s directive has heightened the urgency surrounding the issue.

Today’s meeting is expected to focus on assessing the progress of over 327 decisions made in 18 Cabinet meetings since the Congress government assumed office in December 2023.

Official sources said the Cabinet will critically evaluate how many of these decisions have been fully implemented, how many are in progress and which have suffered implementation delays.

A key focus will be identifying reasons for non-implementation and examining the role of the bureaucracy in those delays.
